Design and development of test equipment, machines, fixtures, and instrumentation required to test and qualify products, including shock absorbers, rate controls, actuators, dampers, elastomer and wire rope isolators, and special products to meet customer expectations.


  • Designs and specifies test equipment, endurance rigs, instrumentation, and fixtures required to test and qualify Enidine products to defined specifications.
  • Builds hardware, writes software profiles and debugs the test system.
  • Develops and validates test equipment and test setups required to test Enidine products.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot 3D printers.
  • Helps establish and write Qualification Test Plans, Qualification Test Procedures, Acceptance Test Procedures, and Qualification Test Reports to defined specifications.
  • Helps establish and write detailed testing instructions for test technicians and operators.
  • Works with Manufacturing Engineering to review production test fixture designs and helps validate production test fixtures.    
  • Collaborates with other groups including design, manufacturing, and purchasing.
  • Works with outside test facilities to co-ordinate testing as required to meet customer requirements.
  • Coordinates all activities concerned with test fixtures, machines, scheduling, costing, and resolving test problems.
  • Writes macros to efficiently process test data.
  • Helps update existing test systems.
  • Controls expenditures within limitations of project budget.
  • Prepares and monitors progress of equipment schedules.
  • Runs testing and documents test set-up parameters and results as required.
  • Works with Design Engineering to report and interpret test setup and results.
  • Works with minimal supervision from Test Management.

  • Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • 1-3 years min. as Test Engineer or Mechanical Engineer.
  • Hands on experience with general laboratory electronic instruments such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, voltmeters, power supplies, data acquisition systems, force, pressure, displacement, velocity transducers, and accelerometer is a must.
  • LabVIEW, MATLAB, and Visual Basic skills a preference
  • CAD, Solid Works, or other 3-D CAD systems experience.
  • Must possess strong communication skills.
  • Ability to use Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other design software to complete design and specification of test equipment.

Specific benefits are dependent upon whether or not the position is part of a collective-bargaining agreement. The salary offered to a candidate is based several factors such as candidate experience and qualifications, location, as well as market and business considerations.
Annual salary range is $64,500 to $96,300, plus benefits and incentives.
