Job description

The Panther Group is seeking an experienced Systems Integration & Test Engineer III to support a leading defense and aerospace manufacturer in Chelmsford, MA. This is an exciting opportunity to work on advanced technologies, integrating and testing complex hardware and software systems in a collaborative engineering environment.

This position is ideal for engineers with experience in LabVIEW, NI TestStand, RF/Microwave systems, automated test equipment (ATE), and systems integration. Candidates must be eligible to obtain an Interim Secret Security Clearance, which will be initiated during the offer process.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, integrate, test, document, and maintain complex hardware and software systems.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive system and subsystem test plans, procedures, and schedules.
  • Integrate commercial off-the-shelf (COTS), government off-the-shelf (GOTS), and internally developed components into complete system solutions.
  • Analyze customer and program requirements while balancing technical, schedule, and cost objectives.
  • Develop, modify, and maintain automated test software using LabVIEW and NI TestStand.
  • Perform system integration, verification, validation, and regression testing.
  • Analyze test data and prepare technical reports documenting system performance and test results.
  • Investigate hardware and software issues, identify root causes, and support corrective actions.
  • Create discrepancy reports and verify corrective actions through regression testing.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams including Systems, Electrical, Software, Manufacturing, and Quality.
  • Support technical reviews, customer meetings, and engineering presentations.
  • Develop engineering documentation including work instructions, block diagrams, assembly sketches, and test documentation.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 5+ years of experience using Microsoft Office to create technical documentation, status reports, and project plans.
  • 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining software using LabVIEW.
  • 3+ years of experience developing automated test solutions using NI TestStand.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced engineering environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Proven ability to lead technical efforts and successfully complete project milestones.
  • Must be eligible to obtain an Interim Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 9+ years of professional engineering experience.
  • Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) and Microwave systems.
  • Subject matter expertise in automated test equipment (ATE) development.
  • Experience designing or specifying test equipment and instrumentation.
  • Strong background in electrical measurement techniques for electronic components and subsystems.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex measurement systems, instrumentation, software, fixtures, and units under test.
  • Ability to derive test requirements from system or design specifications.
  • Experience generating engineering documentation including block diagrams, assembly drawings, and parts lists.
  • Knowledge of corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes.
  • Experience presenting technical information, trade studies, and engineering recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
