Job description

A123 Systems, LLC is a leading developer and manufacturer of lithium-ion batteries and battery systems for the transportation and commercial markets.
Job Summary
A validation engineer is responsible for developing test case, executing tests on HIL and document the test report for BMS performance.
A candidate for this position needs to have basic understanding of the battery management unit and tools that we use for HIL testing. The candidate should also have good communication skills, strong willing of learning new technologies while getting necessary trainings for new customer tools/test methodology.
Preferably with Chinese and English language skills to help the company improve communications between China headquarter and US branch.
Key Responsibilities
Developing and executing validation protocols:
This involves creating test plan, test script pseudo code, and documenting validation activities for BMS and SW requirements.
Conducting validation testing:
This includes maintaining test results of HIL release testing, and urgent test development needs for example, customer issue found on product.
Trouble shooting and resolving issues:
This includes the skill of identifying the issue from test failures, root cause analysis capability and test script bug fix.
Contributing to continuous improvement:
Identify opportunities to improve validation processes and systems
Required Skills and Experience:
Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of V model, and relevant industry standards. Hands on experience with Vector tools, for example, CANalyzer, CANoe, etc. Hands on experience with NI test tools, for example, Teststand, Veristand and Labview.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both Chinese and English.
