Job description

The Anduril Rocket Motor Systems (ARMS) team is on a mission to build next generation solid rocket motors for a safer, more connected world. To achieve our vision of becoming a large-volume provider of tactical rocket motors, we will develop differentiated products and services that maximize our customers' capabilities, and we will establish and maintain a reputation of Quality and Reliability.
As a Test Engineer, you will support Anduril's solid rocket motor research, development, and manufacturing efforts. This position will support national defense initiatives by performing operations related to the destructive and non-destructive testing of energetic materials, inert materials, and rocket motors.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Assisting in the test planning process.
  • Researching and implementing industry standards.
  • Performing materials testing and solid rocket motor testing.
  • Conducting data reduction and analysis.
  • Providing status updates to leadership and customers.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent degree OR significant experience in data acquisition and sensor integration. 
  • Minimum 0-4 years of professional experience.
  • Ability to learn and apply concepts quickly.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and programming.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Ability to work alone and in a team.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Familiarity with National Instruments DAQ systems and LabVIEW.
  • Experience with load cells, pressure transducers, strain gauges, thermocouples, etc.
  • Experience with solid rocket motors, hybrid rocket motors, or liquid rocket engines.
  • Experience with handling of energetic or hazardous materials.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
