Position Summary

The Design Verification Test Engineer is responsible for defining, developing, and executing verification strategies to ensure that hardware, firmware and system designs meet functional, performance, and reliability requirements of the product. This role works closely with design, quality and manufacturing teams to identify defects early in the new product development cycle and during sustaining engineering to ensure high‑quality product delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive design verification and test plans based on product requirements and specifications
  • Create, review, and maintain test benches, test cases, and verification environments
  • Execute functional, stress, regression, and corner‑case testing on designs
  • Analyze simulation and lab test results to identify root cause of failures
  • Collaborate with design engineers to debug issues at block and system levels
  • Drive defect tracking, documentation, and closure using bug‑tracking tools
  • Validate integration of hardware with firmware and software components
  • Design & build test setups for testing
  • Participate in design reviews & provide verification feedback to improve design quality
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and industry specifications


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 2+ years of experience
  • Understanding of digital and/or analog circuit design principles
  • Experience with design verification methodologies (directed testing, constrained random testing, regression testing)
  • Hands‑on lab experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, test equipment and debugging tools
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, datasheets, and design specifications
  • Knowledge of industry protocols (I2C, SPI, MODBUS)
  • Knowledge of UL60730, UL61508, EN298 is a plus
  • Proficiency in scripting or programming (Python, C/C++, LabVIEW) is a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and debugging skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in cross‑functional teams
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on quality and continuous improvement
