At Fisher Valves, our products operate at the heart of critical industries around the world. As a Mechanical Test & Evaluation Engineer - LabVIEW, you will play a key role in validating and advancing next-generation valve and actuator technologies used globally.
This is a hands-on, high-visibility opportunity to design sophisticated test systems, influence product development decisions, and directly impact how our innovations reach customers worldwide.
You'll work in a world-class laboratory environment, partnering closely with global engineering, manufacturing, and commercial teams.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test applications in LabVIEW for performance, endurance, and environmental testing of process control equipment
• Build and integrate custom test systems using National Instruments (NI) hardware and electromechanical components
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external customers
• Analyze experimental results and prepare clear, data-driven engineering reports and recommendations
• Provide technical input during design reviews to help shape new product concepts
• Establish and maintain standards for software quality, documentation, modular design, and code reuse
• Mentor and support other engineers while promoting best practices and continuous learning
• Drive efficiency, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory
• Collaborate across Simulation, Design, Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales, and Procurement teams

For This Role, You Will Need:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Agricultural, Electrical, Aerospace, Computer) or equivalent practical experience
• 2-3 years of hands-on development experience using LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB, C, C++ or C#
• Demonstrated strengths in problem solving, debugging, and analytical thinking
• Legal authorization to work in the United States (sponsorship not available)

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
• Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD) or Certified LabVIEW Architect (CLA)
• Experience with NI hardware platforms such as CompactDAQ, PXI, or CompactRIO
• Experience developing automated test sequences using NI TestStand
• Experience with database integration or data management systems
• Hands-on mechanical aptitude and experience with physical test setups
• Understanding of control theory, measurement theory, and material fabrication techniques
• Experience testing control valves, actuators, positioners, or industrial sensing equipment
• Familiarity with environmental, endurance, or lifecycle testing of mechanical systems
• Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate technical information effectively
