About the team

The Quality Engineering Team is responsible for the development and implementation of all of Mammoth Brands quality standards, inspection protocols and ALL of the manufacturing processes which includes molding and finished goods production.  The team works closely with the Packaging and R&D teams to validate all new component molds and formula production from concept through Mass Production. As we continue to expand into new categories, the Quality team will be an instrumental partner in supporting new exciting innovation and brand success. 

About the role

As a Quality Engineering Validation Manager you will lead the development and execution of quality standards, inspection protocols, and validation plans for new Soft Products and Hard Products at Harry's, Flamingo, Lume, and Mando. You'll own the validation of new tooling, component development, and finished goods production ensuring we deliver high-quality products that delight our customers. You will work cross-functionally across internal teams and externally with global manufacturing partners to support new product launches, troubleshoot quality issues, and improve both product design and manufacturing processes. This is a high-impact role that sits at the heart of innovation, manufacturing, and customer experience. As we expand our Quality Management System and the Global Quality footprint across the organization, you will have the opportunity to impact our systems and processes, as well as have room for growth and development. 

What you will accomplish

  • Manage new tooling from pilot through mass production, develop secondary tooling for supply chain capacity, and optimize/standardize manufacturing processes using SPC and quality data.
  • Own qualification and inspection plans (IQ, OQ, PQ) for both hard and soft product packaging, including fill-line qualification at third-party manufacturers.
  • Deploy quality tools including process mapping, FMEA, control plans, MSA/GR&R, SPC, and DOE to drive consistency and compliance across the supply chain.
  • Expand internal and external testing capabilities, draft product/package test plans, and analyze and interpret results to ensure requirements are met.
  • Lead the commissioning, qualification, validation, and startup of new manufacturing and packaging equipment from Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) through Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and commercial production. 
  • Conduct supplier audits, manage CAPAs, monitor performance metrics, and ensure suppliers meet Mammoth Brands' quality standards during both launch and ongoing production.
  • Lead failure analysis and root cause investigations, driving effective CAPA to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Evaluate technical risks using tolerancing and stack-up analysis, and develop clear mitigation plans in partnership with R&D and Supply Chain.
  • Support advanced product quality planning to ensure smooth integration of new products into operations, owning finished goods specifications.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer across product development, partnering with R&D, Package Engineering, and suppliers to design quality in while improving manufacturability and reducing costs.
  • Participate in program retrospectives and lead ongoing initiatives to improve quality, efficiency, and supply chain performance.
  • Travel (Domestic and International), up to 40%.

This should describe you

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field (e.g. Mechanical, Industrial, Systems Engineering)
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Quality, or Quality Assurance, preferably within a consumer goods environment.
  • Having knowledge of mechanical properties of polymers and packaging components such as aerosols, pumps, closures, bottles, and tubes.
  • Robust knowledge of injection molding, EBM (extrusion blow molding), ISBM (injection stretch blow molding) technologies and their capabilities.
  • Honest, direct, and able to articulate and defend technical recommendations and decisions as well as communicate clearly with cross functional teams.
  • Experience in Tolerance and Stack Analysis of new product and package designs
  • Experience using Statistical Analytic tools in manufacturing and making data-driven decisions.
  • Experience with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) is a strong plus.
  • Familiar with programs and programming of LabVIEW, MatLab, MiniTab or similar.

  • Working closely with Program Management, Product Design Engineering, Package Engineering, Design, and Global Supply. You will also work closely with our Asia Pacific Office team and our suppliers around the world. 
  • Externally, you will work with printing and decorating suppliers, contract manufacturing and filling sites, and component suppliers around the world.

That said, our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of our total rewards package, which also includes a comprehensive set of benefits and our equity program. The base salary hiring range for this position is $132,000-$160,000, but the final compensation offer will ultimately be based on the candidate's location, skill level and experience.
