The General Labourer is responsible for metals sorting and day-to-day duties on site needed to complete work in a safe and timely fashion and maintain a clean work site

This role is based out of Edmonton Alberta

This is a full time permanent position working an 8am to 5pm shift, Monday to Friday.


  • Sorting and separating a variety of non-ferrous materials, cutting material to size and packaging.
  • Inspecting materials to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
  • Operating hand tools and equipment to process and prepare scrap metal for shipment.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following all SECURE safety policies and procedures.
  • Supporting equipment operators and drivers with daily yard activities.
  • Following all safety procedures while working in a fast-paced industrial environment.
  • Working closely with your teammates to keep materials moving and customers satisfied.
  • Familiarity with operating and servicing small equipment such as forklifts, skid steer, cut off saws, stationary baler would be an asset.

  • General labouring and or farm experience an asset but not required
  • Experience working with metals would be an asset but we are willing to train
  • Basic comprehension and ability to follow SECURE’s Workplace Health and Safety requirements relevant to the assigned work site, including but not limited to SECURE’s safety and hazard assessment process”
  • Ability to complete safety documentation in an accurate and timely manner
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, shoveling, moving containers and other heavy materials
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to persevere through difficult weather conditions
  • Fit-for-Work each day
