Job description

We are seeking a dedicated Nocturnal Laborist to join a physician-led, growing community health system serving the Midwest region. This role offers the opportunity to practice obstetrics and gynecology in a supportive environment with a collaborative team of 12 OB/GYN physicians.
Work Schedule: Primarily 7 PM to 7 AM shifts, with some 24-hour shifts available.
Clinical Environment: The position supports approximately 1,430 deliveries annually and around 100 gynecologic surgeries per year. The facility includes a Level 2 nursery, 24-hour in-house pediatric hospitalist coverage, and 24-hour anesthesia coverage to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Education and Certification

  • Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Experience
  • Previous experience in laborist roles or hospital-based obstetrics is preferred but not mandatory.
Requirements
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
  • Ability to work night shifts and occasional extended shifts.
