Job description

Must be honest, reliable & have own transportation. Full & Part time, overtime available. Pay based upon experience. Year round work.

The Marine Construction Laborer will assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of waterfront structures including docks, piers, boat lifts, bulkheads, and shoreline stabilization systems. This is a physically demanding, outdoor position working in varying weather conditions and around water.

Ideal candidates are reliable, mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a team environment on active construction sites and over-water structures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the construction and installation of docks, piers, and bulkheads
  • Support installation and servicing of boat lifts and jet ski lifts
  • Perform general labor tasks including:
    • Digging, grading, and site preparation
    • Carrying and handling lumber, steel, stone, and marine materials
    • Mixing and placing concrete when needed
  • Help install rip rap, erosion control systems, and shoreline stabilization
  • Assist with boat ramp construction and waterfront grading
  • Operate and learn to use basic construction tools and small equipment
  • Work from barges, docks, boats, and shoreline job sites
  • Follow all safety protocols, especially around water and heavy equipment
  • Load/unload materials and maintain organized job sites
  • Support skilled carpenters, equipment operators, and crew leads

Qualifications

Required

  • Ability to perform heavy physical labor (lifting 50–100 lbs regularly)
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to work near and around water safely
  • Reliable transportation to job sites
  • Strong work ethic and punctuality
  • Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Prior experience in construction, landscaping, dock building, or marine work
  • Experience with power tools or heavy equipment
