     Sales & Business Development

  1. Lead Thermo King sales and service operations to achieve revenue, profitability, customer retention, and market growth objectives through fleet sales, service agreements, repairs, retrofits, aftermarket sales, and new business development.
  2. Build and maintain strong customer, vendor, and business partner relationships while generating and converting sales opportunities through customer interactions, service activities, and operational touchpoints.

     Operations & Financial Management

  1. Oversee daily shop and field operations, including technician scheduling, labor allocation, workflow management, and coordination of parts, tools, and equipment to meet service demands and project timelines.
  2. Monitor operational performance, service quality, turnaround times, customer satisfaction, and workflow efficiency, implementing continuous improvement initiatives to optimize productivity, profitability, and service delivery.
  3. Drive operational and financial performance through Profit & Loss (P&L) management, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, resource utilization, and risk management while ensuring accurate operational documentation and business records.

     Leadership & Customer Experience

  1. Recruit, train, coach, and develop sales and service team members by establishing performance expectations, promoting accountability, communicating operational priorities, and fostering a culture of customer service, safety, and continuous improvement.
  2. Serve as the primary escalation point for customer concerns, ensuring timely resolution, effective communication, and a consistently high level of customer satisfaction.
  3. Maintain quality control standards by ensuring repairs, installations, maintenance, and service work are completed safely, accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with company expectations and manufacturer requirements.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is performed in a combination of office, warehouse, shop, field, and customer-site environments, routinely transitioning between administrative duties, customer interactions, and hands-on operational activities. Work around refrigeration and HVAC equipment, service bays, warehouses, mechanical rooms, active work zones, and customer facilities are to be expected.

Frequent exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat, humidity, rain, sunlight, and outdoor environmental conditions, as well as fluctuating hot and cold temperatures associated with refrigeration equipment, freezers, coolers, and cold storage environments. Regular exposure to dust, dirt, fumes, exhaust, odors, oils, grease, vibration, moving mechanical parts, energized equipment, and elevated noise levels is expected. May occasionally be expected to perform work duties assigned in confined spaces, elevated work areas (such as rooftops), equipment rooms, and other locations where environmental conditions and hazards may vary.

PHYSICAL & BEHAVIORIAL DEMANDS:

Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, and movement between office, shop, warehouse, customer-site, and outdoor environments is required. Regular use of hands and arms to operate tools, equipment, computers, mobile devices, and business systems. Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Understanding of HVAC / transport refrigeration.

  2. Proven ability to manage both technical service teams and sales functions, customer relationship management, and negotiation skills.

  3. Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, service documentation, and manufacturer specifications.

  4. Understanding of hazardous materials handling, storage, and regulatory compliance; certification (e.g., HazMat, OSHA, or equivalent) preferred.

  5. Well-versed in Microsoft Office and service/sales management systems.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent required

  2. Technical training or certification in refrigeration, HVAC, or diesel systems preferred (EPA certification strongly preferred)

  3. 3 years of leadership experience in service operations, sales, or both

POSITION TYPE:

This is a full-time, exempt position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
