Job Description - Fence Installer

Rocky Mountain Fence has a 34 year history in the Treasure Valley. We are growing rapidly and seeking a motivated individual to join one of our crews. In this role, you will be a member of a 2-3 person team responsible for the installation of fences. This position requires individuals who are reliable, hardworking, capable of working with others as a team, willing to learn new skills and take on new challenges with a positive attitude. Strong knowledge and experience SPECIFICALLY related to fence installation with a minimum of 1 year installation experience.

There is possibility for advancement as the company grows.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the accurate and efficient construction of different types of fence according to project specifications and company quality requirements. including but not limited to Aluminum, Wood, Vinyl, Chain link, Ornamental Iron, Farm and Ranch fences.
  • Perform Various duties as assigned by the Foreman.
  • Provide general labor as required such as digging holes, mixing concrete, and loading, transporting, carrying and installing fence materials.
  • Safely use general construction hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
  • Work in a clean and efficient manner keeping the jobsite safe and productive.
  • Demonstrate dependability and punctuality by working scheduled days and showing up on time and ready to work.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn in order to grow with the company.

Physical Requirements and Potential Exposures:

Fence construction is a physically demanding job which is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperature changes in all seasons of the year. This role involves repetitive and often prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, twisting, and lifting (up to 80 lbs). You may be exposed to construction and cleaning chemicals, noise and dust or fumes generated by concrete work, saws, grinders, drills, augers, and other equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour Depending on skill, performance, and willingness to take on additional duties and responsibilities.
