Pay:$18.00-$20.00 per hour (Based on Experience) Join the Nova Construction Team! Nova Construction is seeking dependable, hardworking individuals to assist with the interior construction of a new healthcare facility. This position is ideal for someone with general construction experience who enjoys working alongside skilled trades and learning new skills. As a Construction Laborer / Skilled Trades Helper, you will assist multiple trades throughout the construction process, including carpentry, painting, drywall, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, low-voltage systems, IT infrastructure, flooring, finish work, and general construction activities. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist skilled trades with interior commercial construction projects.
  • Help install HVAC ductwork, ventilation systems, and mechanical equipment.
  • Assist plumbers with installing water, drain, and medical gas piping.
  • Assist electricians with running conduit, pulling wire, installing electrical components, and other general electrical tasks under supervision.
  • Assist with running low-voltage cabling and IT infrastructure, including network, communication, and security system wiring.
  • Help with painting, drywall installation and finishing, framing, insulation, and ceiling systems.
  • Assist with flooring installation, trim work, doors, hardware, and other finish carpentry.
  • Perform demolition, site preparation, material handling, and job site cleanup.
  • Load, unload, organize, and transport tools, equipment, and construction materials.
  • Safely operate hand and power tools.
  • Follow OSHA safety standards and all company safety policies.
  • Perform other construction-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous construction or general labor experience preferred.
  • Experience assisting one or more construction trades is a plus.
  • Ability to safely use common construction hand and power tools.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more and perform physically demanding work.
  • Strong work ethic, dependable attendance, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable transportation to the job site.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
