We're hiring a General Laborer/Yard Team Member to join County Prestress and Precast in Romeoville, IL.
Job Summary:
The General Laborer/Yard Team Member role supports daily precast concrete production operations by performing general labor, material preparation, mold setup, and equipment maintenance. This position plays a key role in maintaining efficient production flow by following established manufacturing procedures, safety standards, and quality requirements.
This role is ideal for a hands-on, entry-level team member who thrives in a fast-paced industrial or manufacturing environment and is committed to safety, teamwork, and achieving daily production goals.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily tasks related to precast concrete production and general labor support
  • Set up, assemble, clean, and maintain steel pallets, forms, and molds
  • Prepare forms for concrete pouring, including cutting, bending, and placing rebar and welded wire mesh
  • Operate, maintain, and inspect production equipment, tools, and machinery
  • Clean and maintain work areas, equipment, and facility grounds
  • Perform manual labor tasks such as loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials
  • Support team members in achieving daily production targets and operational goals
  • Follow all workplace safety regulations, OSHA standards, and quality procedures
  • Maintain proper housekeeping standards for a clean and organized plant environment
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and supervisor instructions
