The First Year Studies curriculum presents an interdisciplinary introduction to the liberal arts intended to support new students' fundamental skills as readers, writers, and thinkers.

Candidates are expected to lead undergraduate research projects and connect scholarship with teaching. Laboratory space and start-up funds are available.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. prior to the time of appointment (9/1/2027); ABD is acceptable for selection. Applications will be evaluated starting September 15, 2026.
