Pathology Assistant Positions

Pathology Assistant - New Grads Welcome –

Monday – Friday 9am-5:30pm

Bachelor of Science or Masters Pathologists' Assistant program from an NCCLS accredited institution

1 year of laboratory experience grossing all tissue types from simple to complex is preferred

Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists BOC

Ability to operate general laboratory equipment, including but not limited to: telephones, computers, automated analyzers, centrifuges, microscopes, manual and automated pipettes, and audible alarms.

Pathologist Assistant –

Monday – Friday 12:30pm – 9:30pm

$3k-$5k Relocation Assistance offered! Sign-On Bonus offered!

Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences or related field

Successful completion of an NAACLS-accredited pathologists' assistant program preferred.

Basic knowledge of human anatomy, macro-surgical techniques, and general laboratory skills.

Demonstrated ability to obtain and prepare tissue for evaluation and to provide assistance to pathologists in a timely and quality manner.

High degree of technical competence and knowledge of histological techniques.

Senior Grossing Technician –

Monday – Friday 12:30pm – 9:30pm

Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences or related field

Minimum 10 years relevant experience

Basic knowledge of human anatomy, macro-surgical techniques, and general laboratory skills.

Demonstrated ability to obtain and prepare tissue for evaluation and to provide assistance to pathologists in a timely and quality manner.

Knowledge/ability to become knowledgeable in voice recognition software, internet and multiple-interfaced systems, various laboratory information systems, Excel, and MS Word or equivalent applications.

High degree of technical competence and knowledge of histological techniques.

Pathologists' Assistant –

10:00 AM – 7:00 PM (flexibility required)

Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.

Occasional availability for weekends, evenings, holidays, and overnight coverage may be required.

Bachelor's degree in a health or science-related field (required)

Certification as a Pathologists' Assistant by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) (required)

Completion of a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists' Assistant program (preferred)

Pathologist Assistant –

Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Pathologist Assistant Studies. Preferred Education: Masters' Degree in Pathologist Assistant Studies.

Minimum Experience: 0-1 year of experience as a certified Pathologist Assistant in an anatomic pathology laboratory.

Req. Certification/Licensure: ASCP / AAPA Pathologist Assistant certification or must be ASCP/AAPA Pathologist Assistant certified within 6 months of hire date.

Pathologist Assistant –

Full time day shift.

Bachelor of Science degree required. Master's degree preferred.

Experience working in the Pathology Department of an acute care hospital or Pathology Lab

ASCP (American Society of Clinical Pathology) Certified or certification-eligible as a Pathologist Assistant (PA)

Certification-eligible candidates must pass the ASCP PA certification examination within 6 months of hire

Once achieved, ASCP PA Certification must be maintained as long as one works in this position

Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm

Bachelor degree as a Pathologist Assistant is required.

ASCP or equivalent certification as a Pathologist Assistant OR Meet CLIA requirements.
