  • Bachelor's degree or diploma from an accredited university through a formal program of study in Chemistry or related  discipline including Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Organic/Inorganic Chemistry, Material Science but not limited to these disciplines only.

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully partner with Engineering and other Laboratory Personnel to complete projects in a timely manner with high quality.

Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $64,800- $86,400 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 5% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday and personal days (totaling 12 days), and sick time off (72 hours).

  • Hands-on experience performing analytical testing using EPA methods, including EPA 524 and EPA 625, as well as extraction techniques for BNA (Base Neutral Acid) samples.
  • Demonstrated experience operating, troubleshooting, and diagnosing issues with GC-MS instrumentation.
  • Experience processing, reviewing, and evaluating Tentatively Identified Compounds (TICs).
  • Working knowledge of Omega LIMS, including data entry, management, and data upload processes.
  • Experience working in a high-volume production testing laboratory environment, with the ability to prepare and process 2-3 sample batches per day.
  • Follows defined test plans and datasheets with necessary supervision/support. 
  • Evaluates test performance and sample operation to properly evaluate test results. 
  • Records and explains test results and completes test report.
  • Serves as Lead for simple test programs as assigned with the necessary assistance. 
  • Communicates project status and results as needed. 
  • Holds responsibility for defining test plan, report completion and accuracy, meeting of agreed deadlines, and managing project related activities.
  • Examines customer samples and learns to operate appropriate tests for each case with support. 
  • Communicates with internal customers during setup and operation to ensure proper evaluation.
  • Directs, builds and/or adapts simple test setups, sample preparations/solutions and instruments to new situations, based on test plans and instructions.
  • Trains other lab staff on these test procedures or instruments.
  • Operates and maintains test instruments appropriately to measure and test samples. 
  • Performs maintenance on designated test instruments and laboratory area.
  • For a single testing technology, integrates basic process and instruments improvements into all aspects of the job. 
  • Communicates with management and technical staff to provide suggestions for new instruments, processes, and forms to improve accuracy and efficiencies.
  • Understands and follows safe chemical hygiene practices.
  • Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct, and follow all physical and digital security practices.
  • Other duties as assigned
