The In-N-Out Burger Laboratory team has an excellent opportunity for a Laboratory Supervisor, located in Chino, CA!
The Laboratory Supervisor is responsible for all laboratory sample analysis and result reporting, instrumentation, third-party accreditations, and Associate development.
*This role is based full time in office*
General Responsibilities
• Overseeing all qualitative (PCR), quantitative (indicator organism) and basic food Chemistry testing, as well as assembling, analyzing, reviewing, and reporting data utilizing a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
• Oversee all laboratory associate training, development, scheduling and related documentation
• Procurement of laboratory and Quality Assurance supplies
• Lead and/or contribute to special projects through root cause analysis, continuous improvement techniques and applied research
• Conduct fundamental tests/analysis on meat, dressing and other food products, ensuring that the outcome is consistent with In-N-Out Burger analytical, quality and food safety standards
• Maintain a high degree of technical competence through scientific journals, workshops and/or professional meetings
• Periodically review and audit internal and third-party laboratory procedures to ensure correct implementation, results and reporting
• Maintain all instrumentation in good working order through periodic checks, manufacturer service contracts and/or calibration
• Develop and maintain laboratory methods, quality assurance, associate safety and chemical hygiene program
• Maintain and foster vendor relationships while routinely evaluating new technologies
• Perform all managerial duties with pride and craftsmanship and to work well in an atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation while adhering to all safety, laboratory and sanitation standards
Work Schedule + Benefits
• Full-time position (Non-exempt)
• Sunday-Thursday, 40 hours
• Department needs may call for occasional travel (5%-10%)
• Weekends and nights as needed
• Salary Pay Range: $50.38/hour - $57.94/hour
• The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your experience and other job-related factors.

Qualifications:
• A Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Animal Science, or equivalent field
• A minimum of 3 years of laboratory operations supervisory experience
• A basic knowledge of HACCP, FSMA, Statistical Process Control, and food industry experience preferred
• Experience within an ISO 17025 and/ or ELAP accredited laboratory environment preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of good laboratory practices, methodologies, and instrumentation is essential
• Extensive Microbiology experience, food chemistry, sensory, along with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reasoning skills
• A basic understanding of food manufacturing operations, equipment, and environment
• Excellent knowledge and use of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
