Job description

Job Summary (List Format):
- Must have experience in OB, Mother/Baby, and Labor & Delivery (L&D)
- May consider contracts longer than standard duration
- No call requirement
- Required to work every other weekend
- Will work in all areas of LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum)
- May float as a sitter within the hospital as needed
- May float to Bronson Methodist Hospital (27 miles away) for Labor & Delivery or Mother/Baby units based on census and need
- No RTO (Requested Time Off) allowed during the first 8 days of the contract
- Holiday time off: Only one holiday or adjacent day (eve/day after) can be requested off, not both
- Patient ratios follow AWHONN staffing guidelines
- 15-bed LDRP unit, 3 triage bays, and 2 operating rooms
- Responsibilities include: antepartum care, labor and delivery, OR circulating, scrub nurse duties (preferred), newborn nurse at delivery, couplet care, lab draws, and newborn hearing screens
- Certifications required: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP, AWHONN Intermediate and/or NCC C-EFM
- Preferred: AWHONN Advanced certification
- Required skills: Circulate, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), Triage
- Preferred skill: Scrub nurse duties
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Scrubs are provided
- Must be willing to float as needed within hospital and to other facilities
- Documentation using EPIC system
- Will receive training to complete newborn infant hearing screens (using ALGO 5 Machine)
