Responsibilities

The Labor and Delivery Aide performs a variety of clerical duties, maintains cleanliness and organization of the unit, and assists with patient care, including preparation of the surgical patient. Works under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. 


Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED. 
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
  • Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). 

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Completion of Surgical Tech program or at least 1 year of related experience.
