Job Description & Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Labor & Delivery experience required
  • 2 years of L&D scrubbing experience required
  • Experience with Cesarean Sections (C/S) required
  • NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required
  • BLS certification required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or certification/degree from an accredited nursing program required
  • Must live 50+ miles from the facility
  • Strong communication skills required

Job Duties:

  • Prepare supplies, equipment, and instrumentation for surgical procedures.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of surgical procedures and anticipate the needs of the surgical team.
  • Pass instruments during procedures and assist the surgical team.
  • Assist with patient positioning and patient movement.
  • Perform case cleanup and room turnovers.
  • Support the surgical team throughout Labor & Delivery procedures, including C-sections.
