Labeling involves applying labels to products or packaging, focusing on accuracy and detail. Packaging workers handle the assembly and packing of products for shipment, requiring physical stamina and operational skills. While both roles are essential in manufacturing and warehouse environments, labeling emphasizes precision in labeling tasks, whereas packaging focuses on product assembly and readiness for distribution.

What kind of education is needed for labeling?

Labeling jobs typically require a high school diploma or equivalent. Basic skills in reading, attention to detail, and familiarity with tools or equipment used in labeling are important; additional training or on-the-job instruction is common. Formal certifications are generally not required but can be beneficial for advancement.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals in labeling roles, and how can they be addressed?

Professionals in labeling roles often encounter challenges such as maintaining high levels of accuracy and consistency when reviewing large volumes of data. Time management can also be demanding, as deadlines may be tight and tasks repetitive. To address these challenges, it's helpful to develop strong attention to detail, utilize quality assurance tools, and communicate proactively with team members to resolve uncertainties. Many teams also implement regular feedback sessions and clear guidelines to ensure consistency across projects.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a labeling specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Labeling Specialist, you need strong attention to detail, knowledge of regulatory requirements, and experience with documentation management, often supported by a background in life sciences or a related field. Familiarity with labeling software, regulatory databases, and industry standards such as FDA or EMA guidelines is typically required. Excellent organizational skills, clear communication, and the ability to collaborate across departments help set top performers apart. These skills are essential to ensure labeling accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely product approvals in highly regulated industries.

What is a labeling job?

Labeling jobs involve identifying, tagging, or categorizing data, such as images, text, audio, or video, to help train machine learning models. These roles are crucial in preparing high-quality datasets for artificial intelligence systems, ensuring that the data is accurately annotated and easy for algorithms to understand. Labelers may work with specialized software to mark up objects, transcribe information, or classify content according to specific guidelines. This work is often done remotely and can range from simple tasks to more complex annotation requiring domain expertise.

Job Type: Part-Time

Company Description

Print.Save.Repeat. isn't your typical printer supplies company. We manufacture products that keep companies moving: custom labels and high-quality laser printer toner cartridges that businesses across the country depend on every single day. Think about the label on your prescription bottle, the sticky receipt with the specific details of your lunch order, and the shipping label on that package that showed up at your door last night. There's a good chance we had something to do with that. No inflated pricing. No unnecessary middlemen. Just smart printing for large and small business - lower costs, and less nonsense. That's the whole idea. And honestly? We're pretty good at it.

Good enough, in fact, to land on Inc. 500's list of America's Fastest Growing Private Companies. Out of millions of sellers on Amazon, we've earned our spot in the Top 1% of independent third-party brandsIs on the platform, a milestone our team hit in 2024 and hasn't looked back from. And if you want to know what customers actually think? Our reviews speak for themselves, Print.Save.Repeat. is a Top-Rated brand on Amazon, built entirely on what real customers have to say. We don't chase accolades, but we won't pretend these don't mean something, they're proof that what we're building here is working.

Over 100,000 large and small businesses nationwide, from eCommerce and logistics to healthcare and manufacturing trust us to keep their operations running. Downtime isn't in their vocabulary, which means it can't be in ours either. When a warehouse needs labels or a company's printers go down, we're the ones who show up. Every time.

Here's what that means for you.

We're a lean and agile American manufacturer with operations in Mesa, Arizona and Dawsonville, Georgia. Two locations where real work gets done by people who show up with their sleeves already rolled up. There's no corporate maze to navigate. No six-month approval chain for a decision that should take an afternoon. If you have a good idea, say it out loud, someone will actually listen.

People come here and find out pretty quickly that their work matters. Not in the "we value our employees" poster-on-the-wall kind of way, although we do have them, and know who we are. In the "you'll see the results of what you did this week by Friday" kind of way. You will be supported, encouraged and provided with industry leading compensation and benefits as well.

We take the work seriously. We just refuse to make it miserable when we can have fun instead.

If you're looking for a place where you can actually make your mark, not just fill a seat until something better comes along, let’s get to know one another better.
