Job description

Job Scope


As an Operator, you’re responsible for running machinery or producing product at or above quoted cycle time/rate, inspecting products for any defects or nonconformities and reporting any discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.  Impeccable attention to detail is very helpful in this role.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for efficient operation of blow mold machines and other associated equipment
  • Assist with machine start-ups and shutdowns
  • Effectively uses hand and power tools to finish the part safely and efficiently
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality specifications
  • Accurately pack product based on customer specifications
  • Accurately label product
  • Responsible for minimizing scrap and conserving materials
  • Accurately record production data
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
  • Regular attendance pattern
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED credentials is required
  • 6 months – 1 year of direct experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably in blow molding, is required.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is highly desired 
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems is highly desired
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English, is highly desired   
  • Basic reading and communication skills in English is required
  • Basic math skills and the ability to count is required
  • Experience using hand and power tools is highly desired
  • Strong organizational and multitasking ability 

Physical Requirements

  • Typical manufacturing environment  
  • 8-hour, onsite schedule.  Remote work is not available  
  • Frequent speaking  
  • Constant combination of sitting, standing, and walking   
  • Constant gross and fine manipulation  
  • Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting 50 pounds.   
  • Frequent stooping, crouching, kneeling  

Monday - Friday, with overtime on Saturday and Sunday as needed
1st Shift: 6:45 am - 3:00 pm
2nd Shift: 2:45 pm - 11:00 pm
3rd Shift: 10:45 pm - 7:00 am
