Job Description

The Flexo Press Operator is responsible for setting up and operating the printing press to produce labels and related products.

Are you a highly skilled, experienced flexographic press operator looking to take full ownership of your work? Ample Labels is seeking top-tier operators to run and troubleshoot flexographic presses with precision, speed, and accountability in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Independently set up, operate, and troubleshoot flexographic presses for high-quality label production
  • Perform make-readies, changeovers, and adjustments efficiently, maintaining registration, color, and overall quality
  • Quickly identify and resolve press, material, or quality issues with confident decision-making
  • Take full ownership of press performance, quality, waste, and safety
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace
  • Record production data accurately and communicate issues clearly to management
  • Mentor and collaborate with press assistants and team members to drive overall production success

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of flexographic press operating experience (labels preferred)
  • Proven ability to run complex jobs independently from setup to completion
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and accountable decision-making under pressure
  • Knowledge of flexographic printing processes, materials, and quality standards
  • Expertise in color matching, press adjustments, and problem-solving
  • Reliable attendance, strong work ethic, and a “top-performer” mindset

  • Narrow web label press experience
