Label Studio information

What is Label Studio?

Label Studio is an open-source data labeling tool that enables users to annotate various types of data, including images, text, audio, and videos. It is widely used for preparing training datasets for machine learning and artificial intelligence applications. Label Studio supports customizable labeling interfaces, collaborative annotation workflows, and integrates easily with other data science tools. Its flexibility and extensibility make it a popular choice for both individual researchers and enterprise teams.

What skills and qualifications are needed to work as a Label Studio data annotation specialist?

To excel as a Label Studio Data Annotation Specialist, you need a solid understanding of data labeling concepts, attention to detail, and experience with data annotation processes, often supported by familiarity with machine learning workflows. Proficiency in using the Label Studio platform, knowledge of data formats like JSON and CSV, and occasionally scripting skills in Python are valuable technical assets. Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities help you interpret guidelines and collaborate with data science teams. These skills ensure high-quality, consistent labeled data, which is critical for training accurate machine learning models.

What are common challenges faced when working as a Label Studio annotator, and how can they be addressed?

One frequent challenge in a Label Studio role is ensuring consistent and accurate data annotation, especially when dealing with ambiguous or complex data. Annotators often need to interpret guidelines carefully and collaborate closely with team members to resolve uncertainties. Regular communication with project managers, participation in calibration sessions, and thorough review of annotation instructions can help maintain high-quality output. Additionally, using Label Studio’s built-in collaboration and review features streamlines feedback and quality control, making it easier to address inconsistencies as a team.

Job description

Description:

About Us

At LumiSource LLC, we are dedicated to innovation and continuously refreshing our product offerings to strengthen our presence in the furniture and lighting industry. We proudly supply products to the nation's top retail chains, independent and online retailers, and commercial clients — spanning both B2B partnerships and direct-to-consumer channels.

This role blends creative execution with marketing strategy. You'll be part of our Marketing Team, crafting promotional materials for two different audiences: the retail buyers and commercial accounts we sell through, and the end consumers we sell to. A trade show one-pager and an Instagram post call for completely different voices. If you can design both well, this role is meant for you.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Image Management
Upload and edit product images, ensuring all visuals and product data are accurate and consistent across internal systems.

Image Editing & AI Integration
Edit and finalize lifestyle and product images for marketing use, incorporating AI generation tools when applicable.

Graphic Design
Create promotional graphics for digital ads, email campaigns, and trade show materials while adapting tone and format for B2B buyers (retailers, distributors, commercial clients) versus B2C end consumers.

Website Maintenance
Maintain and update digital content to meet quality standards and ensure synchronization with the company website. Support UI enhancements as needed.

Label Creation
Design and produce product labels tailored to customer specifications.

Content Pipeline & Scheduling
Develop and maintain a content calendar to manage image usage and publishing timelines across both trade-facing and consumer-facing channels.

Social Media & Digital Content
Regularly update and manage social media platforms with fresh, engaging, branded content aimed at driving consumer engagement and brand awareness.

Meetings & Communication
Present creative ideas, planning updates, and content strategies during team meetings.

Requirements:

Skills and Qualifications

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere, etc.) or equivalent image and video editing tools, Presti AI.

Demonstrated knowledge of both B2B and B2C marketing. Ability to shift messaging, design, and strategy between trade/wholesale audiences and direct consumer audiences

Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and creative direction

Familiarity with studio production standards and industry terms for photographers, stylists, editors, and graphic designers

Highly organized with strong attention to detail and project management capabilities

Strategic mindset with an understanding of how visual content supports marketing objectives across multiple sales channels

Self-motivated team player who thrives in a collaborative, hands-on work environment

Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
