Marin Hilltop Hotel, soon to become a Tribute Portfolio by Marriott in San Rafael, California, is undergoing an exciting transformation. As part of a major renovation, we are reimagining our property to deliver the distinctive style, character, and elevated guest experience of the Tribute Portfolio brand.

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team during this exciting transition. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the hotel's renovation while helping maintain a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for our guests and associates. If you enjoy troubleshooting, maintaining building systems, and taking pride in your work, we invite you to be part of our transformation.

Activities & Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, perform preventative maintenance on, and recommend replacement of tools, appliances, and equipment.
  • Calibrate all controls, gauges, meters, etc. Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves.
  • Order, mark, and stock parts and supplies as needed.
  • Maintain inventory and purchase orders log.
  • Inspect tools, equipment, or machines.
  • Enter and locate work-related information using computers.
  • Operate power lift.
  • Complete the life safety checklist, including the fire-pump run test and generator run test.
  • Inspect fire sprinkler valves and alarm systems.
  • Assist in the development of disaster response protocols. Respond to guest repair requests.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
