Job description

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team in Arizona to include, but not limited to Prescott, Prescott Valley, Mayer, Black Canyon, Cottonwood, Sedona, Williams, Flagstaff, and Winslow
Work Schedule: Able to cover hours that vary Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 7:00 pm; additional days/hours as needed, including some Saturdays
Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Process billing information and collect payments when required
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist

Additional Job Standards:
  • In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Ability to work in fast paced / high volume work environments
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
  • Reliable transportation
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed

  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment

As a Float Phlebotomist, you will have the opportunity to quickly gain a vast amount of experience.
You will be working with a variety of patients, team members, and clinics/patient service center locations. This unique role will allow you to develop your skills and set you up for opportunities and continuous growth within the organization. If you like variety, this role is perfect for you!
Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
