Job Description

Job Title: Lab Coordinator

Location: Located specifically in North Scottsdale, at East Bell Road and the 101

Compensation: Starting at $20.00 Hourly

Employment Type: Full Time with Benefits (Medical, Life, Dental, Vision, and 401K)

Schedule: Monday through Friday during clinic hours 7:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. (8 hour shifts). No nights, no weekends, and no major holidays!

JOB DESCRIPTION: Lab Coordinator (North Scottsdale)

We are looking for a polite and enthusiastic Lab Coordinator to fill a vacancy at a large health care clinic in north Scottsdale. The candidate must be upbeat and have a positive disposition at all times. Applicants with exceptional written and verbal communication skills are strongly encouraged to apply. The ability to multitask as well as the ability maintain an organized work environment during high volume hours is essential. Medical Administrators are expected to remain professional at all times and meet or exceed the expectations of patients.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review chart notes for updated lab orders
  • Prepare requisition forms
  • Work closely with phlebotomist
  • Schedule lab draws
  • Explain lab kits and lab prep
  • Order lab kits
  • Ensure demographics and insurance information in EMR are accurate
  • Process all lab orders for new and current patients according to LabCorp and specialty kit guidelines
  • Have patient sign required consent forms
  • Add processed lab orders to lab tracking sheet
  • Investigate missing or late lab results
  • Prepare lab charts for scheduled physician consultations and lab reviews
  • Access all lab portals and print new reports
  • Adhere to HIPAA rules and regulations
  • Follow SOPs
  • Track new patient labs and communicate with different departments
  • Help in the process of shipping labs
