The Mi-Tech CIPP Laboratory is an ASTM accredited laboratory built to assess and test 3-point-bend flexural (D790) and tensile (D638) testing of CIPP (Cured-In-Place Pipe) samples. You will be responsible for the preparation of all samples that arrive at the lab. You will be responsible for measuring, cutting and preparing the samples for testing, and ensure compliance within quality standards. You will also be maintaining the cutting equipment, and collaborate with other lab personnel. The estimated minimum work hours are 16 hours per week at the Wausau, WI location.

What It Takes
  • Minimum high school diploma.
  • Ability to pass a half-mask respirator test and physical examination.
  • Ability to wear a respirator while working in the sample prep room.
  • The applicant is expected to rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Demonstratable experience using power tools, such as rotary tools, table saws, router, tile saws and drills.
  • Receiving and logging in CIPP samples that are shipped in.
  • Participating in the data entry and cutting of samples into specimens of specific size and shape for testing.
  • Sample and specimen dimensioning using a microscope, calipers, and micrometers.
  • Communicate sample cutting progress, issues, and results.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair the power tools in the specimen preparation area.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices.
