Job description

AS A MEDICAL LABORATORY ASSISTANT, you will function as a phlebotomist, perform and be trained to assist in the performance of routine lab testing. In addition to blood collection, MLAs will process blood and other body fluid samples, perform quality control, operate laboratory equipment and perform simple laboratory tests.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have successfully completed a certified phlebotomy course
  • Must have ASCP Phlebotomist Certification within 2 years of being hired to role
Please note: If you hold a Certificate that does not expire-you must be a member either ASCP or AMT. If you are on a maintenance program with and expiration - you are not required to be a member but must maintain your certification.
