Job description

Overview
We are looking for a QC Lab Technician to test raw materials, in-process samples, and final products to ensure they meet quality standards. This role also provides technical support to internal teams and plant personnel.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform sample testing for raw materials, in-process samples, and final products.
  • Enter test data into computer systems accurately.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate lab equipment as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized lab environment.
  • Document and communicate test results.
  • Attend safety meetings and training sessions.
  • Support investigations related to safety incidents and non-conforming materials.
  • Review and update lab procedures as needed.
  • Manage lab inventory and supplies.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Associate’s degree in a technical field (minimum); Bachelor’s in Chemistry or Science preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years in a chemical laboratory setting.


Skills & Knowledge:

  • Testing physical properties (density, pH, viscosity, etc.).
  • Wet analysis techniques (acid number, cloud point, etc.).
  • Experience with analytical instrumentation (GC, HPLC, FTIR, etc.).
  • Ability to prepare chemical solutions following standard formulas.
  • Experience writing and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Familiarity with equipment calibration and maintenance (GCs, titrators, etc.).
  • Strong attention to safety and hygiene standards.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.


Schedule: Must be able to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
