Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in collecting samples of products and maintaining the product/raw material testing/stability specifications.
  • Lab testing chain of custody form submissions
  • Keeping all QC testing logs updated with current test status
  • Aseptic sampling procedures
  • Coordinate shipment of samples to the customer or prepare for customer pickup.
  • Keep an updated list of current projects and samples shipped.
  • Organizing incoming raw material samples to appropriate projects/R&D Sample Inventory, including scanning COAs, MSDS, and specification sheets for incoming raw material samples to appropriate folders.
  • Assist Regulatory and Quality departments with product and ingredient information as needed.
  • Research and stay up to date with ingredients, clinical data, and products on the market.
  • Complete other projects as needed. (i.e., assisting in validation activities that require testing)
  • Environmental Monitoring / swabbing
  • Adequate knowledge of computer software; Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Cross-train in additional areas of Quality Control / QC Inspection

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • B.S. degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related field, preferred.
  • One year minimum of experience in food industry or cosmetics or equivalent combination of education and experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Follow cGMP's in all facility areas
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit.
  • The employee must regularly lift and /or move anywhere from 10 - 50 pounds; and occasionally more than 100 pounds.
