Overview

Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Lab - Phlebotomist, where you will play a vital role in patient care by accurately drawing blood samples in a professional and compassionate manner. This position offers exposure to diverse patient populations and the opportunity to develop your phlebotomy skills in a dynamic clinical environment, making a positive impact on patient outcomes and laboratory processes.

Responsibilities

Draw blood specimens from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established procedures for clinical and forensic collections.

Prepare specimens for lab testing, ensuring proper labeling and documentation to maintain sample integrity and chain of custody.

Verify patient demographic information and obtain patient signatures post-venipuncture to confirm specimen labeling accuracy.

Maintain accurate records and documentation of procedures performed, adhering to confidentiality and compliance standards.

Create a trusting environment by explaining procedures clearly and ensuring patient comfort and safety during blood collection.

Support a safe and professional environment by following safety protocols and policies, including infection control and safety practices.

Perform venipuncture in various settings, such as patient service centers, doctor’s offices, or mobile collection sites, as needed.

Handle multiple priorities efficiently in a high-volume setting, demonstrating organization and professionalism at all times.

Required Skills

Proven proficiency in phlebotomy, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

Excellent customer service and communication skills for interacting with diverse patients and healthcare team members.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in specimen labeling and documentation.
