Job description

Lead Lab Technician/Manager is responsible for receiving, testing, analyzing, recording, and reporting results of their tests. Main duties and responsibilities include: receiving, labeling, and safely storing samples to be tested. Determining and performing tests needed for the analysis and report.

Responsibilities include:

  • Receiving, labeling, and safely storing samples to be tested.
  • Determining and performing tests needed for the analysis and report.
  • Recording tests and analyses and then reporting the results.
  • Discussing and answering any questions regarding the results.
  • Organizing and storing samples in accordance with all safety and other requirements to ensure the safety of personnel and integrity of the sample.
  • Cleaning and maintaining lab equipment, including recalibration of equipment.
  • Maintaining equipment records and daily work logs.
  • Ordering laboratory supplies, as needed.
  • Staying current on technical and scientific advances in their field.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested.
  • Supervise and develop Lab Technicians as needed.
  • Desire to expand to High Complex testing facility.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field.
  • Valid MLT (Medical Lab Technician) license.  
  • Proven experience working as a lab technician.
  • Working experience operating electrical and non-electrical laboratory equipment.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and database systems.
  • Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Understanding of electronic and computerized equipment in laboratories.
  • Able to follow instructions and strictly follow procedures.
  • Superb dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.
