Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 2+ years experience in both cardiovascular and electrophysiology procedures for a teaching hospital's Cardiac Cath Lab.

Details
  • Acute care teaching hospital with Level 3 trauma designation and 317 staffed beds
  • Cath Lab/EP department performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures
  • Procedures include coronary angiograms, right heart caths, Impella, IABP, ECMO, pacemaker implants, standard and complex ablations, CTO, Shockwave, Rotablator, and CSI
  • Utilizes hemodynamic monitoring, Affera, Carto, and EnSite mapping systems
  • Uses Epic (Excellian) for charting
  • 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Weekend on-call rotation of 3-4 shifts per 13-week contract
  • Weekday on-call rotation of 1-2 nights per week
  • No floating within scope or to sister facilities required
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years experience required in both cardiovascular and electrophysiology procedures
  • BLS required; ACLS, ARRT-R, CCI RCES, and CCI RCIS preferred
  • License required if applicable; pending state license accepted
  • Proficiency in scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating for CV and EP cases
  • Experience with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose) preferred
  • Experience with EKG lead placement, access site prep, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
  • Skilled in equipment set up and maintenance, PACS, and sterile technique
  • Epic/Excellian charting experience preferred
Additional Information
  • Responsibilities include procedural set up, monitoring, scrubbing, and circulating for both cardiac cath lab and EP lab cases
  • Scrubs provided by the unit
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Local candidates accepted for this position
  • Returning staff must have been separated from perm employment for at least 3 months prior to starting a travel assignment
  • RTO ideally limited to no more than 5 days during the contract
  • Candidates may float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed
