Cath Lab Tech

Job Title: Cath Lab Tech

Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Cath Lab Tech

Duration: 12 Months

Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 07:00 - 17:30

Experience: Minimum 1 year

License: Must be in hand prior to start date. Temporary licenses may be obtainable once permanent license applications have been submitted.

Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, ARRT

Must-Have: First time candidates will not be accepted. Call minimum of 2 days a week and every 3rd weekend. Skills required include circulating and conscious sedation. Travel experience is required.

Description: Minimum experience required is 1 year. Procedures include cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures. Interventional radiology procedures involve access and placement tasks. Special procedures include left and right heart catheterization, balloon pump management, and pericardial effusion treatments. Cardiac emergencies such as STEMI calls are part of the role. Additional procedures include venous access, drains placement, GI tube insertion, and managing DVTs and PE. Fistula work and embolization procedures are also part of the responsibilities. Candidates should have experience with various equipment such as C-arms, power injectors, and IVUS/OCT technologies. Skills related to angiography, hemodynamic monitoring, and sterile techniques are essential. The tech will work in a fast-paced environment collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Accurate monitoring, managing equipment setups, and recognizing life-threatening arrhythmias require attention to detail. The job involves working with a diverse patient population across various age groups. Floating to other areas within the facility or nearby affiliates will be required. Important to maintain safety protocols and ensure adherence to sterile techniques. Background checks required prior to employment consideration. References from two supervisors are needed.
