Beloit Health System at Beloit Memorial Hospital is hiring for is looking for a Student Radiology Technologist for our Cardiac Catheterization Lab.Shift: 1st, variedSchedule: Varied-Per DiemHours per week: Varied- Per DiemBenefits Status: Not EligibleDepartment: Cardiac Catheterization LaboratoryThe Student Radiology Technologist in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab assists Radiologic Technologists and Nursing staff in the performance of their duties. The Student Radiology Technologist provides patient care essential to Cath Lab procedures using imaging modalities as prescribed by a physician. The Student Radiology Technologist in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab will:Move and transporting of patients.Procedure chart preparation: pulling of old chart to act as a resource, printing patient ID stickers, referencing past studies in Synapse cardiovascular for that patient and preparing billing slips.Greet patients in a friendly, professional manner.Help/assist in the following: pulling supplies, pre-procedure room preparation, patient preparation, procedure flow and post-procedure care of the patient.Practices aseptic techniques as necessary.Selects contrast based on patient lab work.Assist in cleaning of the labs and roomAnswer phone and takes messages.Initiate basic life support if necessary.Stocking supplies/linens/contrast in procedure rooms.Job RequirementsCurrently enrolled in an accredited Radiology programCPR certification within 3 months of hireStrong communication and problem-solving abilitiesBasic computer skills, experience with EMR helpfulMust adhere to established hospital and Cardiovascular Services department policies, rules, and regulationsMaintain ethical conduct and keep confidential personal and medical information about patientsApply today to start your career with Beloit Health System.
