This travel assignment located in Hyannis, MA requires a skilled professional to perform and assist in various procedures ensuring patient safety and high-quality imaging under the direction of physicians.

Key Responsibilities of the Electrophysiology Tech - Cath Lab Technologist
  • Assist in all aspects of invasive procedures, including scrubbing, circulating, monitoring, and recording hemodynamic parameters
  • Operate radiologic and interventional equipment ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety
  • Acquire, process, and transfer images to the PACS system
  • Prepare, position, and assist patients during procedures for safety and comfort
  • Apply radiation safety principles, including shielding and exposure minimization
  • Coordinate workflow to enhance patient care efficiency
  • Assist physicians with administration of contrast media
  • Maintain inventory and participate in equipment safety and maintenance
  • Provide patient education relevant to the procedure

Requirements of the Electrophysiology Tech - Cath Lab Technologist
  • High school graduate or GED
  • Graduate of a JRCERT accredited Radiologic Technology Program
  • Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Licensed Radiologic Technologist in Massachusetts
  • Minimum of two years post-technical school radiology work experience or as a Special Procedures Technologist
  • Successful completion of on-the-job training within six months of hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
