Compensation: Base salary of $48,000 - $52,000

Employment Type: Full-Time
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday | 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Specifically, the Clinical Coordinator - Dental Assistant will be responsible for:  

  • Supporting the clinical, lab and administrative functions of the campus to enhance the student experience.  
  • Acting in a manner that upholds the College standards.  
  • Supporting the clinical and lab functions of the campus to enhance the student experience by:  
  1. Enhancing the learning experience of the students by setting up the labs and preparing  equipment and materials for student use.  
  2. Keeping the dental lab and clinic stocked with the necessary supplies.  
  3. Monitoring students in the use and care of equipment and materials.  
  4. Directing student questions to instructors, Clinical staff and Clinical Assistant II  
  5. Setting up and labelling of student files and clinic binders for new cohorts.  
  6. Checking to ensure the correct weights and measures are being used during  compounding exercises.  
  7. Ensuring that the correct safety procedures and dress codes are being followed in the lab and clinic area.  
  8. General daily cleanup and maintenance of the dental lab and clinic area.  
  9. Maintaining sterilizer monitoring program. 
  10. Maintaining the DOS badge monitoring program.  
  11. Daily cleaning of radiographic processing equipment and replenishing of radiographic processing chemicals.

Education and Experience: 

  • A diploma or certificate from a university of college recognized by CDI College in Dental and/or Dental Assisting.
  • A minimum 2 years related work and/or practical experience.
  • Registered Dental Assistant with current license.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Individual scope of practice must include any skills which they may be instructing in the clinic
  • Must have completed or be pursuing formal training in education/facilitation methods i.e. professional instructor's certificate.
