Job description

The Analytical Chemistry Lab Assistant supports laboratory operations by preparing samples, maintaining equipment, and assisting chemists with analytical testing. This role ensures accuracy, organization, and compliance with safety and quality standards in a fast-paced lab environment.

 


  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness and organization in compliance with safety standards
  • Manage document archiving and ensure proper record retention
  • Order, prepare, and label reagents and consumables
  • Monitor inventory levels and expiration dates to prevent shortages
  • Assist with pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical processes
  • Support laboratory operations including media/buffer preparation, cleaning, and material staging using aseptic techniques where applicable
  • Assist in routine analytical testing (e.g., KF, XRPD, PSD, UV-Vis, titration) under supervision
  • Clean and maintain laboratory instruments and glassware
  • Accurately record experimental data in lab notebooks or electronic systems
  • Provide general operational support to the Analytical Chemistry team
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment
  • Comply with all applicable regulations, standards (GLP/GMP), and company policies/SOPs
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Associateโ€™s or Bachelorโ€™s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related field (or currently pursuing)  

 

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

  • Basic knowledge of laboratory techniques and analytical instrumentation
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Good communication and teamwork skills

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in both office and laboratory environments
  • Exposure to chemicals and hazardous materials
  • Must wear appropriate PPE (lab coat, safety glasses, gloves)
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods

Anticipated Salary Range: $22.32 to $28.90
