Job description

Our client, a leading hardware and consumer electronics organization, is seeking a Hardware Support Engineer III / Component Engineer to join their team. As a Hardware Support Engineer III, you will be part of the hardware engineering team supporting component engineering, design support, and manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and effective communication skills, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title: Hardware Support Engineer III
Location: Sunnyvale, CA 94089
Pay Range: $40/hr. – $43/hr.

Duration: 6 Months with Potential Extension/Conversion
What’s the Job?

  • Support end-to-end hardware development and component selection process
  • Review, qualify, and validate electronic components for design requirements
  • Maintain and manage component specifications, AVL, and part numbering systems
  • Work closely with engineering, ECAD, and manufacturing teams on product builds
  • Identify and mitigate component-related risks impacting product timelines
What’s Needed?
  • Experience with electronic components (SoCs, PMICs, capacitors, connectors, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, LCR meters, curve tracers)
  • Knowledge of ROHS/WEEE compliance and contract manufacturing processes
  • 3+ years of experience in hardware/component engineering or support roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical Engineering or related field
