Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Join our interventional pain management team at Florida Pain Institute and gain hands-on experience in patient care, provider support, and collaborative clinical workflows.

Job Summary

As a Medical Assistant / EMT, you will play a key role in supporting providers with clinical tasks, documentation, and patient communication. You’ll assist with exams, help manage the flow of care, and become an integral part of our patient-centered practice.

Ideal candidates are motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a high-touch environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with provider documentation and charting during patient visits - this position requires the ability to manage a high volume of data entry.

  • Take vital signs, update patient medical histories, and perform intake

  • Prepare exam rooms and ensure equipment is clean and stocked

  • Assist during exams and procedures as directed by providers

  • Communicate with patients about upcoming procedures, instructions, and follow-ups

  • Manage communication with pharmacies

  • Coordinate patient care through phone calls, faxes, and secure messaging

  • Help track and follow up on medical clearances, referrals, and lab results

  • Support both front and back office tasks as needed for team coverage

  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of clinical documentation in EMR systems

  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and a high standard of professionalism at all times
