Overview
This position is responsible for the performance of a variety of laboratory tests in an accurate and timely manner. Professional judgment is exercised to ascertain the appropriateness of the test orders, the validity of test results and to communicate this information to the physician

If you are selected for this position, you will be asked to supply your immunization records as proof of vaccination. If you and have any concerns about receiving these vaccines, medical and/or religious exemptions can be further discussed with Human Resources.
Responsibilities
  • Performs highly complex laboratory procedures in a variety of laboratory sections with minimum supervision
  • Performs continuous quality assurance activities
  • Maintains general operations of the laboratory

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree and 1-2 years experience May include MLS clinical rotations as 1 year of experience, preferred Clinical Laboratory experience or
  • Associate's Degree and 1-2 years experience Preferred Clinical Laboratory experience or
  • HS diploma or equivalent and No Experience necessary / On-the-Job Training Preferred Clinical Laboratory experience
  • Employees must obtain Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist Int - ASCP or equivalent within 180 days
  • MT - ASCP Certified Medical Technologist - ASCP within 6 months of hire Required
  • Certification in a Lab Specialty Required

Starting Pay
Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $31.15/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
Remote Work/Work from Home
This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children's Mercy locations and may not work from home.
