About the Role:

The Institutional Research Analyst plays a critical role in supporting data-driven decision-making within educational institutions or organizations. This position is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data related to institutional performance, student outcomes, and operational effectiveness. The analyst will provide actionable insights through comprehensive reports and presentations that inform strategic planning, accreditation processes, and policy development. Collaboration with various departments is essential to ensure data accuracy and relevance, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Ultimately, the role contributes to enhancing institutional effectiveness and supporting the achievement of organizational goals through rigorous research and analysis.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, social sciences, education, data science, or a related field.
  • Experience with data analysis and statistical software such as SPSS, SAS, R, or Python.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and presentations.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in institutional research, higher education administration, statistics, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working in an institutional research or higher education environment.
  • Knowledge of database management and query languages such as SQL.
  • Understanding of accreditation standards and higher education policies.
  • Project management experience and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare detailed reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.

  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and maintain the integrity and confidentiality of institutional data.
  • Support accreditation and compliance reporting by providing accurate and timely data analysis.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve data management processes and research methodologies.
