Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for direct supervision of all Quality Control techs and Inspectors. Coordinates Daily functions and leads all training. Responsible for all attendance and timekeeping records for subordinates. Also, will ensure all rules and regulations are followed and have the authority to initiate discipline when necessary. Creates and facilitates the Hall QC test plan for all supplied and produced components. Schedule all special testing. Operate and facilitate maintenance of all test machinery. Facilitates test reports and test analysis. The roles and responsibilities listed are not meant to be all inclusive. The needs of the company may require individuals to perform other functions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Coordinate daily functions and training for QC technicians and inspectors.
  • Supports QC engineers, in process and incoming inspection as required.
  • Responsible for supervision of QC techs and inspectors.
  • Develops/maintains communication lines to support the HANON-A Quality Control System
  • Responsible for supervision of QC Assist Lead Hands, Team Leader and inspectors.
  • Develops/maintains communication lines to support the Hanon Quality Control System
  • Verifies outside calibration scopes and certifications on a quarterly basis

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in Quality related field or Min three (3) years’ experience as a supervisor.
  • Min three (3) years’ experience working in a QC lab or related quality experience.
  • Competent in use of various measurement tools (calipers, height gages, Micrometer, etc.).
  • Good computer skills (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Occupational and industry related certifications.


PHYSICAL AND/OR MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Lifting to 35lbs.
  • Standing/Walking for extended periods.
  • Frequent/bending, reaching with arms forward/above the shoulders.
  • Pushing / Pulling up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stay focused for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to analyze information, identify problems.

TRAVEL

  • Occasionally

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • The job will be performed (i.e. office, production floor, warehouse, etc.)
  • Plant work environment with seasonal fluctuations in temperature (hotter in the summer, cooler in the winter)
  • Exposure to noise and bright lights.
  • Required to wear company-issued personal protective equipment such as steel toe shoes, glasses, gloves, etc.
