Lighthouse Lab Services is excited to represent a new clinical lab in Arcadia, Louisiana that seeks a Temp/Travel Molecular Lab Technician to support these testing services.

The client is a CLIA and COLA accredited clinical diagnostic laboratory located in Arcadia, Louisiana. They offer comprehensive testing services to healthcare providers statewide, delivering fast and accurate results to enhance patient outcomes. Their innovative laboratory is led by a team of experienced professionals dedicated to quality and compliance. The lab features advanced instrumentation. By partnering with hospitals, clinics, and physician practices, the client delivers reliable diagnostic solutions that empower healthcare providers to make informed, timely decisions.

About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Medical Laboratory Technician. The perfect candidate will perform routine and specialized laboratory testing, analyze and interpret results in conjunction with pathology, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Additional responsibilities include managing quality control measures, maintaining laboratory equipment, and adhering to established protocols to support the delivery of accurate diagnostic results.

Principle Duties And Job Responsibilities

  • Proficiency in Medical Technology and Laboratory Skills
  • Knowledge of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology practices
  • Experience with Quality Control standards and procedures
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills related to laboratory testing
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented healthcare environment
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest level of accuracy

Basic Preferred Profile:

  • Minimum Associatesโ€™ degree in one of the following: biology, medical technology, microbiology, chemistry, or biochemistry
  • At least 2 yearsโ€™ experience working in a high complexity molecular testing lab, preferably in an independent reference lab
  • ASCP certification is required
  • Louisiana State Lab Personnel License required
  • Experience with a start-up laboratory
  • Experience with NGS, PCR testing using but not limited to Quant Studio 5

Salary/Benefits/Shift:

  • Shift is Monday-Thursday 8:30am-4:30pm
  • Pay is up to $18/hr + $1200/week (tax free) per diem for housing, food, and incidentals
