Job Description
This role focuses on core project management methodologies tailored to the PMO's oversight of Idea to Market (I2M) and R&D life cycles. The Senior Project Manager applies project management principles, processes, and tools to ensure the organization is efficient and effective in the delivery of its services, solutions, and processes, ultimately improving customer satisfaction and employee engagement.
This professional will work in a near-site/mostly remote capacity and must be located near one of our major facilities anywhere in the US.
Responsibilities
-Manages 3-4 concurrent, medium-complexity tactical projects and programs spanning multiple functional areas (e.g., laboratories, systems, applications).
- Leads multi-disciplinary projects with a focus on Idea to Market (I2M) product launches, R&D initiatives, and life cycle management.
- Consults with R&D, Clinical Solutions, Commercial, IT, and Operations to design and execute optimized solutions.
- Collaborates across matrixed organizations to ensure a seamless transition of products from inception through launch and post-launch management.
- Tracks project costs, budgets, resources, plans, and schedules, proactively managing changes at the project level.
- Ensures all project artifacts are accurately collected, documented, and stored for internal audits and lessons learned.
- Applies project management principles, processes, and tools daily to ensure the organization is efficient and effective in the delivery of its services, solutions, and processes, ultimately improving customer and employee satisfaction. Actively supports project/program governance processes and drives continuous improvements.
- Consults with R&D, Clinical Solutions, Commercial, IT, and Operations to design and execute optimized solutions that meet tactical project goals. Collaborates across these matrixed organizations to ensure the seamless transition of products, tests, and offerings from inception, through launch, and into post-launch life cycle management.
- Actively supports project/program governance processes and drives continuous improvements.
Qualifications
Required WorkExperience: Minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience. Demonstrated experience leading projects from initiation to completion in a matrixed organization
Preferred Work Experience: Experience supporting lab operations, Product Development, or IT efforts in the Healthcare Sector is strongly desired
Physical and Mental Requirements: Ability to sit for long periods of time
Knowledge: Project management principles, processes, and tools. Knowledge of Idea to Market (I2M) and R&D life cycles
Skills: Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams; ability to lead and influence without direct authority; effective upward management to stakeholders and sponsors.
