Job description

Job Description
The Real Estate Project Manager will work closely with internal stakeholders, landlords, external consultants, and contractors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives, and be adept at managing complex budgets, schedules, and stakeholder expectations. This role requires focus on problem solving and finding solutions in complexity, while leading several projects In a large tenant portfolio, maintaining a strong focus on quality, safety, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
Responsibilities
Project Planning & Strategy:
  • Lead the development of real estate project strategies, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, workplace standards and lab engineering standards and playbooks.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and site evaluations to assess potential locations and project viability, or refurbishment on site.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (HR, IT, Finance, Operations, R&D) to define space requirements, workplace design, lab requirements and technology needs.
  • Establish project governance, scope, budget, and schedule.

Project Execution & Management
  • Manage end-to-end project lifecycle, from initial concept and design through construction, commissioning, and move-in, leading all PM resources dedicated to the project.
  • Oversee lab and office fit-outs, tenant improvements, leasehold renovations, ensuring compliance with lease agreements and local regulations.
  • Lead RFP processes, selecting and managing external vendors, architects, engineers, and contractors.
  • Monitor project performance, ensuring cost, schedule, and quality objectives are met.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, delays, and budget overruns.

Budget & Cost Management:
  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial transparency and cost control.
  • Track project expenditures, forecasts, and variance analysis, ensuring alignment with corporate financial goals.
  • Ensure compliance with lease terms, building codes, sustainability goals, and workplace safety regulations.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management:
  • Source, select, and manage construction contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between internal stakeholders and external project teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on goals.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration, ensuring seamless integration of IT, security, and workplace and lab engineering services into project planning.

Sustainability & Innovation:
  • Integrate sustainable construction practices, materials, and technologies to support environmental goals and green building certifications (e.g., LEED).
  • Champion innovative construction methodologies and leverage technology tools (e.g., Building
  • Information Modeling, project management software) to improve efficiency and project outcomes.

Reporting & Documentation:
  • Provide regular status updates, executive reports, and risk assessments to Corporate Real estate and executive Stakeholders.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including lease agreements, floor plans, construction schedules, and closeout reports.
  • Implement post-occupancy evaluations to measure project success and inform future real estate decisions.
  • Ensure change management of stakeholders and manage stakeholder communication

Qualifications
You have :
  • 8-15+ years experience managing complex, office & lab project fit outs in a corporate environment.
  • Proven background in construction project management, including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, risk management, and multi-project implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of lease negotiations, workplace strategy and space planning
  • Analytical and strategic skills; ability to plan, manage, and implement multiple projects
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of MEP systems and supporting infrastructure terminology
  • Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Procore, AutoCAD, or similar), project management methodologies and workplace technology integration.
  • Ability to read and understand architectural plans and drawings.
  • Knowledge of a wide variety of construction materials, products and system.

It would be nice if you also had:
  • PMP (Project Management Professional)
  • LEED AP, WELL AP, or other sustainability certifications (preferred but not required).
  • Real estate or facilities management certifications (e.g., CoreNet MCR, IFMA CFM) are a plus.
