Job Summary
Provides general medical care under the direction of a licensed provider to patients in an outpatient clinic setting. This position works as an important role to provide the best possible healthcare in a caring way.ย  We truly want our patients to be treated like family.
Responsibilitiesย 
  • Obtain patient vitals, medical history, and reason for visit, and prepare the patient for a physical examย 
  • Explain prescribed procedures and treatments to patients
  • Ensure all ordered tests are performed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with the approved procedure
  • Draw blood and preparation labs for reference lab processing and/or in-house processingย 
  • Perform laboratory tests, lab-quality controls, and equipment maintenance according to written instructions
  • Respond to all lab messages and call back requests
  • Perform all drug screening procedures in accordance with established rules and regulations
  • Ensure patient immunizations are well documented and administered in accordance with the approved procedure
  • Conduct physician referrals as well as service pre-certifications on an as-needed basis
  • Prepare exam rooms; sterilize instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications
Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. AMT registered and AAMA Certified Medical Assistants are preferred.ย
