Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:00am-12:30pm

What You'll Do:
The Lab Assistant supports student academic success by preparing, assisting, and resetting lab sessions.
  • Works in conjunction with the Program Director and instructor to coordinate instructional lab sessions.
  • Assists students with hands-on lab sessions.
  • Assists instructors with instructional components of lab sessions.
  • Educates students on proper hazardous waste disposal and ensures storage and disposal align with OSHA and campus safety protocols.
  • Enforces lab safety codes in all lab areas to assure student and colleague safety.
  • Communicates professionally with the Program Director regarding laboratory maintenance and supply inventory for restocking and ordering.
  • Efficiently sets up and breaks down lab sessions.
  • Performs assigned responsibilities, duties, and tasks according to established practices, procedures, techniques, and standards in a safe manner and with minimal supervision.

  • Working knowledge of dental materials, equipment and infection control protocols.

  • Ability to support students in an encouraging and supportive manner.
Nice to have:
  • Prior experience in a dental office or clinical setting.
  • Teaching experience in secondary education.
  • CPR certification.
